About the Author

Gibran Shah was born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada in 1976. At the age of 17, in 1994, he moved to Calgary, Alberta, finished grade 12, and moved on to the University of Calgary. There, he earned his B.A. in psychology and his B.Sc. in computer science.

Mr. Shah has been interest in the philosophy of mind since his adolescence. Such an interest has lead to a wealth of reading and writing on the subject, all of which has been brought to the table in his latest book The Nuts and Bolts of Consciousness.
